CEDIA 2018 – Hisense Expands its Ultra-Premium Laser TV Lineup with the L8E and L10E Series

Hisense is a rising star in the projector industry, one with a rather interesting lineup. They call their projectors Laser TVs due to their bright, TV-like appearance – that is, no real need to darken the room. Last year at CEDIA 2017, we got to see a demo of one of their ultra short throw projectors, which was nicely bright and extra sharp. Since then, the brand has extended their line and feature set with two new series – its models being shown at CEDIA 2018.

Interactivity is a major trend we’re seeing in classrooms across the United States. Most high school classrooms have either an interactive projector or a Smart Board where both students and teachers can use pens or their fingertips to interact with the course material. NEC NP-PA653UL Business/Education Projector Review

The NEC NP-PA653UL is a 6,500 lumen, large venue laser projector using 3LCD technology for advanced business and education applications. This beast of a projector is feature-laden, from its numerous inputs and connectors to the motorized lens options and 4K abilities. Though its native resolution is WUXGA (1920 x 1200), the NP-PA653UL can accept both 4K UHD and true 4K content. I’ve rather enjoyed this projector while testing 4K content, and can tell you right of the bat that the NP-PA653UL is a serious projector that performs quite well, and I was very impressed.

Epson Home Cinema 2150 Projector Review

The Epson Home Cinema 2100 and Home Cinema 2150 are two new projectors that replace their venerable HC2040 and HC2045. Those older models have most likely been the most-popular projectors offered by Epson for home entertainment/entry level home theater, and have been top sellers, overall. I was sent the Home Cinema 2150 for review, and have had the pleasure of testing all sorts of content on it – films, TV shows, and video games.
